Tips on preparing your home for your Newborn Lifestyle Session | The Woodlands Newborn Photographer


Newborn lifestyle sessions allow you to capture memories with your newborn in the comfort of your own home! The thought of having your home picture ready while taking care of a newborn baby can be overwhelming! The last thing you want to be doing is worrying about your home after giving birth! I am here to calm your fears about having your home picture perfect for your session! During your Newborn Lifestyle Session we generally focus on two areas of the house for pictures, the primary bedroom and the nursery. Here are a few quick tips on how to prepare your home for your upcoming newborn lifestyle session ( No deep cleaning involved!!).

  1. Open blinds and draw back curtains to allow all that natural light inside
  2. Make your bed before my arrival
  3. Opt for a neutral comforter or duvet
  4. Tidy up your nightstands and clear them of extra belongings
  5. Tuck all cords under furniture and out of sight
  6. Declutter the room and move extra belongings into closests for the session
  7. Tidy up the nursery and place extra pacifiers, diapers, wipes etc. into baskets or drawers

When I arrive, I may move belongings out of the way or help arrange belongings in a room so they are out of sight! Newborn lifestyle sessions are truly a time for my families to enjoy their new addition! I hope these tips are helpful and allow you to prepare your home for your sesssion!
