What To Wear To Your Spring Maternity Session | Houston Maternity Photographer


The Sesaons have begun to change in Houston, TX and we are seeing the first signs of spring! I love this time of year when the nature seems to come back to life! The beautiful greens and spring flowers were really showing off during this session. As we transition to spring our wardrobe begins to change as well! It can be tricky choosing the perfect outfit to showcase your bump. Here are three quick tips on what to wear for your session this spring:

  1. For my expecting mamas, flowy long dresses are very beautiful and flattering! Think neutral and pastel colors when choosing a dress! Darker colors can hide your bump and take away from your silhouette. Avoid busy patterns, these draw the eye to the pattern and away from you! Think subtle patterns when choosing a dress, floral patterns can be especially pretty in spring!
  2. For my dads, once mom has picked out her outfit try to coordinate to her outfit. Try to choose coordinating colors over matching. A tan, grey or navy slack can really elevate the overall look of your photos. Most men choose to wear a polo, button down or henley type shirt.
  3. Don't forget your nails! Mom, your hands will be in a lot of the pictures holding that beautiful bump! Treat yourself to a manicure, I generally suggest sticking with a soft color!
